Goetze atmospheric discharge safety valves are compact, high-capacity valves designed to protect pressure systems (such as compressors and pressure vessels) by releasing excess pressure directly into the surrounding environment. They are primarily intended for use with air and other neutral, non-poisonous, and non-flammable gases.
They are used in various industrial applications, including:
- Air compressors and receivers.
- Pneumatic control units and braking systems.
- Bulk transport vehicles and stationary silos (with specific shroud options).
- Paint spray shops.
- Systems requiring high corrosion resistance or clean service applications (e.g., in the chemical or food industries).
The valves are available for set pressures from as low as 0.2 bar up to 1,500 bar across their full product range, with the atmospheric discharge series typically operating up to 40 bar or more. Temperature tolerances range widely, from cryogenic conditions to +400°C (752°F).
