Fike ValveGuard is a concept that uses a rupture disk installed upstream of a pressure relief valve (PRV) to protect it from corrosive media, leaks, and clogging. This protects the expensive PRV, extends its service life, reduces maintenance, and controls emissions, while also improving process safety and efficiency. The system allows for in-situ testing of the PRV, as the rupture disk isolates it from the process fluid.
